Skill up-gradation Training |
01 |
6 Skill Upgradation Training were successfully organized as per detail below :
a) Bindraban Distt. Kangra, 18 weavers participated in the weaving training programme from 15/05/2009 to 15/07/2009.
b) Kasba Narwana, 19 weavers participated in the weaving training programme from 28/08/2009 to 26/10/2009.
c) Nagrota Bagwan, 18 weavers participated in the weaving training programme from 04/01/2010 to 04/03/2010.
d) Managerial workshop was conducted at Gopalpur, Distt. Kangra for the training of managerial staff of SHG/Primary Weavers Cooperative Societies from 22/10/2009 to 24/10/2009. There were 23 participants in the workshop.
e) Design Training was conducted at Nagrota Bagwan, Distt. Kangra from 07/12/2009 to 21/12/2009. 11 weavers participated in the design training programme.
f) Dyeing Training was conducted at Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishwavidyalaya Palampur from 02/03/2010 to 06/03/2010. 25 weavers participated in the Dyeing Training Programme.

Exhibitions/fairs |

One exhibition was organized successfully at :
a) Kotwali Bazar, Dharmsala, 5 weavers participated in this fair. The participation was from 22/12/2009 to 31/12/2009. Total sale generated during the exhibition was Rs. 30470/-.
Apart from this the beneficiaries of Kangra Cluster participated at the following 3 exhibitions :
a) Club House Mcleodganj, Dharamsala Distt. Kangra, 4 weavers participated in the exhibition. This exhibition was organized from 10/06/2009 to 24/06/2009. Total sale generated during the exhibition was Rs. 37976/-.
b) International Trade Fair, Pragati Maidan New Delhi, 2 weavers participated in this fair. The participation was from 11/11/2009 to 24/11/2009. Total sale generated during the exhibition was Rs. 64550/-
c) Palampur Distt. Kangra, 5 weavers participated in this fair. The participation was from 01/01/2010 to 10/01/2010. Total sale generated during the exhibition was Rs. 35000/-.
Participation at Dilli Haat exhibitions:
a) Dili Haat, total 10 weavers participated in 5 exhibitions as per allotment from WSC. Total sale generated during these participations at Dilli Haat was Rs. 165000/-.

Buyer/seller meet |

After taking inputs from Weavers Service Centre, New Delhi & O/o Development Commissioner (Handloom) regarding bulk buyers of handloom products we have invited them at different venues of buyer seller meet. We have successfully organized 2 buyer seller meets at :
a) Kisan Bhawan, Chandigarh, 7 weavers showcased their handloom products. The meet was organized from 24/09/2009 to 26/09/2009.
b) International Trade Fair, Pragti Madan New Delhi, 7 weavers participated in this meet. The participation was from 25/11/2009 to 27/11/2009.
